Autumn 2002: Perpetual Mutation

Is this the same guy who, merely two years ago, micromanaged his trips & fretted when he might stop a mile from his projected Day Six campsite? More details soon!

Day one from Wolverton to lakes between Pear & Moose, day two over Pterdactyl to drainage west of Elizabeth Pass, day three to west fork of Panther Creek on HST, out day four via Wolverton Cutoff through amazing sequoia groves. I nearly had a partner or two, but my midweek timing was bad. However, it provided me the chance to prove that I can indeed go it alone. A little voice always said that I was a fraud, only as good as my companions made me; the voice may still be there, but now I can laugh in response :]
